Pingtan Marine Enterprise Announces Participation in Two International Industry Events

FUZHOU, China, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pingtan Marine Enterprise Ltd. (Nasdaq: PME), ("Pingtan," or the "Company") an integrated marine services company in the People's Republic of China (PRC), today announced that a delegation from the Company presented at two recent events discussing the fishing industry in China, the 18th Annual China Fisheries & Seafood Expo in Dalian, China, and the Second "China - Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum - Agriculture Fisheries Symposium" in Guangzhou, China. 

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the PRC, Mr. Niu Dun, participated in both events, which served as an opportunity for fishing and marine companies from domestic and international companies to discuss the development and modernization of the industry.

18th Annual China Fisheries & Seafood Expo – Dalian, China

The China Fisheries & Seafood Expo is Asia's first and the world's second-largest professional fishing show, the whole industry chain is the world's aquatic showcase, exchange and cooperation platform.  The event took place on November 5-7, 2013 at the Dalian World Expo Center. The event took place at an exhibition hall encompassing ​​nearly 50,000 square meters, with more than 1,000 exhibiting companies from over 80 countries.

Second "China - Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum - Agriculture Fisheries Symposium"

Sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, the second "China - Pacific Island Countries Economic Development and Cooperation Forum - Agriculture Fisheries Symposium" was held on November 8, 2013 in Guangzhou. Niu Dun, Vice Minister of Agriculture attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Contingents from China, Fiji, Cook Islands, Micronesia, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu and seven other countries took part in the event. Approximately 130 representatives attended the seminar, including Pingtan's management.
